Install questions
- What do I need to run Agentfly?
- 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, or a 64-bit x86 Linux desktop. On Debian and Ubuntu the installer uses the .deb package; on other distributions it installs an AppImage. There is no arm64 Linux build yet, and macOS is not published yet.
- Is Agentfly free to download?
- Yes. Agentfly is free with no subscription, trial or paid tier. It is funded by an occasional sponsored card in the corner of the editor, and half of that ad revenue is credited to you.
- Is it safe to install Agentfly?
- On Windows, Agentfly installs from the Microsoft Store, which certifies and signs every package it distributes, so Windows installs it without a SmartScreen warning. The terminal commands are served from this site, and you can read them at /install.ps1 or /install.sh first; they refuse to install a release unless its SHA-256 checksum matches the one published with it.
- How does Agentfly update?
- Installed from the Microsoft Store, Agentfly is updated by the Store. Installed any other way, it checks for new releases by itself: when an update has downloaded, a Restart to update button appears in the status bar, and it never restarts over unsaved work.
- When will Agentfly be available for macOS?
- macOS builds are waiting on Apple notarisation. Until then Agentfly installs on Windows and Linux only, and this page will carry the macOS command as soon as it exists.
