Customise chat

Choose the assistant's name and face, whether replies show who wrote them, and how replies sit on the page.
When you would want it
A chat you spend hours in should look the way you like. Faces and names also make it obvious which agent said what once several are working.
Where to find it
- All Features → Customise chat
- Customise
- Turn on or off
- Settings
What you get out of it
- When several agents are working, faces and names make it obvious who said what.
- A chat you spend hours in looks the way you like, from a dialog with a live preview rather than a settings file.
- Saved agents keep the looks you gave them on the Agents board, so every agent stays recognisable.
How to use it, step by step
- Open the chat and select Customise in its header (it is under ••• when the chat is docked). The command palette's AI: Customise Chat opens it too.
- Type a name for the assistant - it appears above its replies and while it is writing.
- Pick a face: one of eight shapes and ten colours. The preview updates as you choose.
- Choose a reply style. Document runs replies full width like a page, Bubbles puts each reply in a soft card, Compact fits more on screen.
- Leave Show who is replying on to see the face and name above replies, or turn it off for a plain transcript. Select Save.
Why this beats the usual way
AI chat panels elsewhere answer as the same nameless box forever. Agentfly lets the assistant be yours - name, face and layout - and gives every agent its own face, in the chat and on the board.
