Watch every agent at work in the chat: the code it is writing types in as the model produces it, commands show their output as they run, and agents on a Team pass messages you can see.

When you would want it

An agent working out of sight is hard to trust and hard to stop in time. Seeing the code appear line by line, and seeing teammates tell each other what they changed, shows you what is happening while there is still time to step in.

Where to find it

  • All Features → Live agent view
  • Turn on or off
  • Settings

What you get out of it

  • See code and replies as they are written instead of a finished file appearing all at once - and stop a wrong direction early, right where you are watching it.
  • Several agents at once stay readable: one window each, with the file, command or plan they are on.
  • Agents on a Team really talk: they message each other mid-task, share the project's memory, and are warned before two of them edit the same file.
  • Proof you can check: a window says Unverified until the agent has run the project's tests, typecheck or linter.

How to use it, step by step

  1. Ask the assistant to build or change something. The moment it starts writing a file, a live window opens in the conversation with the file's name, and the code types in as the model writes it.
  2. When it runs a command - a test, a build, a dev server - the same window switches to the command and its output as it prints.
  3. Start a Team, a race or a solo agent from the Agents page, or Team in the terminal from a terminal's menu. A live room appears above the chat: each agent's mascot on a strip, and a window for each agent showing what it is doing right now.
  4. Watch the strip. When one agent messages another ("API done, endpoints in src/api.ts"), hands its work on, or edits a file a teammate already edited, the sender turns to the receiver, a speech bubble crosses between them, and the line stays underneath.
  5. Click a mascot or a window's title bar to fill the room with that agent; click again to see them all. Hide windows keeps just the mascots.
  6. Stop an agent from its window's title bar - Stop for one agent, Stop team for a Team - or every run at once with Stop all in the room's header. The ⋯ beside it opens the agent on the Agents board or edits the saved agent.
  7. In the main chat, the line at the bottom shows what the assistant is doing and for how long, with its own Stop button. Esc stops it too.
  8. Read the bottom of each window before you trust the result: Checks passed, Check failed or Unverified comes from the commands the agent actually ran.
  9. Prefer a quieter chat? Turn it off in Settings > AI > Live agent view.

Why this beats the usual way

Most AI editors show a spinner and then a finished diff, and when several agents run you get several spinners. Agentfly shows the code being typed, each agent's terminal output, and the messages agents pass to each other while they work - and it marks work that was never tested, instead of taking the agent's word for it.
