Universal search
The workbench · 1 min read
The search box in the title bar finds Agentfly features, commands, files, recent folders, and symbols together.
When you would want it
One search is faster when you remember what you want but not which menu, panel, or file contains it.
Where to find it
- All Features → Universal search
- Search
What you get out of it
- One search for when you know what you want but not which menu owns it.
- Focused searches remain for the cases where you know exactly.
How to use it, step by step
- Click the search box in the title bar.
- Type a feature name, a command, a file, a recent folder, or a symbol.
- Start with > for commands specifically.
- Arrow through results; Enter opens the highlighted one.
- Ctrl+P, Ctrl+Shift+P, Ctrl+T, and Ctrl+Shift+F still open their focused versions directly.
Why this beats the usual way
Most editors make you pick the right search first - wrong picker, no results. One combined search with > for commands answers 'where is the thing' in any direction you meant it.
