Density
Appearance · 1 min read
How much space there is between things. Comfortable is roomier; compact fits more on screen.
When you would want it
Generous spacing looks good on a large monitor and wastes a laptop screen.
Where to find it
- All Features → Density
- Settings
What you get out of it
- Big monitors get air; small laptops get room to work.
- One switch covers the whole workbench instead of a dozen per-panel knobs.
How to use it, step by step
- Open Appearance settings and find Density.
- Comfortable gives generous spacing; Compact packs more onto the screen.
- The switch applies instantly, everywhere - no restart, no partial repaint.
Why this beats the usual way
Zoom-hacking the whole UI distorts text; density toggles the spacing itself. Comfortable and Compact are the only two answers that were ever actually needed.
