Command palette
The workbench · 1 min read
One box that can run anything Agentfly does. Type what you want rather than hunting a menu.
When you would want it
There are hundreds of commands and no menu can hold them all. If you can name it, you can run it.
Where to find it
- All Features → Command palette
- Open
- Keyboard → Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+P
What you get out of it
- Every capability in Agentfly is reachable without memorizing menus.
- The palette teaches shortcuts as you use it - muscle memory builds itself.
- Fuzzy matching forgives approximate naming.
How to use it, step by step
- Press Ctrl+Shift+P.
- Start typing what you want - 'format', 'branch', 'fold'...
- The matching commands appear with their keyboard shortcuts shown alongside.
- Press Enter to run, or take note of the shortcut and use keys next time.
Why this beats the usual way
Menus cap out; palettes scale. Agentfly's palette indexes every command including ones from settings and language tooling, and prints each shortcut beside its name so discovery and learning happen in the same gesture.
