Auto-save after delay
Your session · 1 min read
Stop typing for a moment and your file saves itself.
When you would want it
So losing work stops being possible, and so you stop pressing Ctrl+S out of habit every few seconds.
Where to find it
- All Features → Auto-save after delay
- Turn on or off
- Settings
- Keyboard → Ctrl/Cmd+S
What you get out of it
- Losing work to a crash, close, or power cut stops being possible in the normal case.
- The reflexive Ctrl+S every three seconds becomes optional habit, not survival skill.
How to use it, step by step
- Turn it on in Session settings - it is off by default.
- Stop typing, and the file saves itself after the pause.
- The pause matters: it never writes mid-word.
- Ctrl+S still works whenever you want it to.
Why this beats the usual way
Auto-save that fires on a timer writes mid-thought; auto-save on pause reads the room. Agentfly waits for a gap in typing, so the file on disk is always a finished thought.
