Point out classes nothing defines
Understanding a project · 1 min read
Tells you when you have used a class name that no stylesheet actually defines.
When you would want it
It is almost always a typo, and a mistyped class is completely silent - the element just renders unstyled, usually on a page nobody has open.
Where to find it
- All Features → Point out classes nothing defines
- Find them
- Turn on or off
- Settings
What you get out of it
- The silent 'looks unstyled for no reason' bug becomes a named line in Problems.
- Typos in class names are caught where they are typed, not on some page later.
How to use it, step by step
- On by default - a class name that no stylesheet defines is flagged.
- Open View - Find Classes Nothing Defines to check the file in front of you on demand.
- Results appear in the Problems panel alongside everything else; it says so plainly when every class resolves.
Why this beats the usual way
A mistyped class fails silently - the element simply stays unstyled. Flagging names that resolve to nothing turns a browser-console mystery into an editing-time fix.
