Text size
Appearance · 1 min read
Makes the words you read bigger or smaller - code in the editor, the terminal and chat messages - while the rest of the window stays the same size.
When you would want it
When the code is hard to read, zooming the whole window costs you sidebar and panel space for nothing. Text size grows only the reading text.
Where to find it
- All Features → Text size
- Bigger text
- Smaller text
- Reset text size
- Settings
- Keyboard → Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+.
What you get out of it
- Read code comfortably without giving up the room zooming the whole window costs.
- One setting for editor, terminal and chat, instead of three font-size numbers in three places.
- Five sizes from Small to Largest, kept for next time.
How to use it, step by step
- Press Ctrl+Shift+. (the > key) to make the text you read bigger - the same key Word uses.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+, (the < key) to make it smaller.
- Code in every editor, every terminal and the chat's messages change together; menus and panels stay the same size.
- Choose View > Appearance > Reset Text Size, or Default in Settings > Appearance > Text size, to go back.
Why this beats the usual way
Elsewhere the editor, the terminal and the AI panel each have their own font-size setting, usually a number in a JSON file. Agentfly treats reading size as one choice with two keys, and leaves Zoom for when you want everything bigger.
Shortcut
Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+.
