When you would want it

You should not need a credit card, or to know what an API key is, to see what Agentfly can build. Google gives anyone with a Google account a free Gemini key, and this gets it connected without copying settings around.

What you get out of it

No credit card and no account with an AI company: a Google account is enough.
Nothing is saved until the model has answered a test message, so a bad key never leaves you half set up.
You can switch to a paid key or another provider at any time in Connect a model; the free one stays as an option.

How to use it, step by step

In Vibe, choose Connect your AI - free in the checklist. Or just send a message: with no model connected, the reply offers the same choices, and your message waits in the box until one is connected.
Press Get my free key. Google AI Studio opens in your browser.
Sign in with any Google account, click Create API key, and copy the key.
Come back to Agentfly. The copied key is picked up and checked on its own - you can also paste it into the box. When it says Connected, you are done, and a waiting message sends itself.
Prefer to keep everything on your computer? If Ollama is running, a second card offers Use it, with the best installed model for coding already chosen.
Already have a key from OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, Groq, xAI, DeepSeek or Cerebras? Paste it under I already have a key - Agentfly recognises which service it belongs to.

Why this beats the usual way

Most AI editors make you start a paid plan or a trial before the AI answers at all. Agentfly gets you building with a free key in about a minute. Be aware that Google's free tier may use what you send to improve its products - for private or work code, use a paid key.
